My Life Is Complete - Commencal Meta 4.1

In my position as a (somewhat shady) bicycle store owner, I have the privilege of riding a lot of bikes. In fact I own a lot of bikes, all different makes and styles and yet up until recently, no bike has had an impact on me like the latest masterpiece to enter my life. I introduce to you the Commencal Meta 4.1

Nothing I can say here is new. Read the reviews for yourself and you’ll find the same thing over and over again, ‘bottomless suspension feel’, ‘unparalleled traction’ and ‘incredibly efficient pedaling’. All I can say is that the claims are true. I have been absolutely blown away with the performance of this bike and even when I’m cross eyed and suffering in a cross country race, I still can’t wipe the smile from my face as I pop out of turns on the back wheel.

The Commencal Meta 4 may come across as a lightweight ‘whippet’ bike, but don’t be fooled. An extremely progressive back end and a magic 69 degree head angle means you won’t ever have to go easy on it in the rough stuff like some other bikes in a similar category. As I’m predominantly a downhill racer, I don’t go easy on my gear and weighing in at 90kg, I can be hard on bikes but the Commencal has taken it all it’s stride.

So it’s a massive thank you to Max Commencal for the creation of this bike. I can’t really see myself wanting to ride anything else for quite a long time. I’m already looking forward to the 2009 Commencal Super 4, but I’m honestly scared that the Super 4 won’t stack up to the Meta, although I’m confident that I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Oh did I mention that this bike is also the hottest bike on the planet?? A minor detail when being acclaimed for such performance, but just look at it! DAMN!
